Thanksgiving Weekend & Milestone 18

The Martin Riders had a great Thanksgiving. However, we failed to take any photos of the actual Thanksgiving meal, so we'll have to tell you about it and hope you will be able to picture it in your mind until Grumpa Stan sends us photos. All of Eli's family members gathered together, including all of his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who were in town. A very special day. Friday, we went to an open house to meet Eliza, and we did remember to bring the camera. Eli and Eliza seemed to hit it off, as seen below.

Eli is now 18 months old. Can you believe it? He talks quite a bit and is learning new words every day. We discovered over the weekend that he knows his basic colors, which is pretty cool. At his 18 month check up his developmental chart shows that he has reached milestones he should not reach until he is 3, like stacking 8 blocks on top of each other and jumping with both feet off of the ground. We're very proud of his accomplishments. He also says "please" and "thank you," which is about the cutest thing ever...no matter how many times I hear it.
